Founder

Jo Lynn Saizan, founder of The Newcomer Company, has many years of entrepreneurship and knows what it takes to have a successful business. "Early in my mid 20’s, working for someone else, I realized, as a dedicated employee, I should be working for myself and building my own business. Well after that thought, 28 years ago I opened my first business and have not looked back. I love people, building new relationships and having a "win-win" philosophy - that’s how The Newcomer Company evolved. Living in Baton Rouge all of my life, loving our heritage and community here, I realized we needed a Welcoming Service to the Newcomer in the Baton Rouge area. After Hurricane Katrina, we woke up from a sleepy little college town to a booming city busting out the seams. With all the newcomers moving into our area, more businesses have opened, along with schools, activities, churches, etc. What better timing for The Newcomer Company to bring everyone together as a community. As a business owner, I got real excited about what The Newcomer Company will not only do for the Newcomer, but how it will enhance businesses and help them grow as we offer a welcome "Gift Certificate" to each Newcomer welcoming them to our city. It’s a "win-win" for everyone, the newcomer, the business and our community. My vision is to bring back "the good old days" of welcoming new people to our city, building relationships, and along the way help businesses thrive so Baton Rouge can be the best place its ever been to raise a family and be prosperous. Eventually, The Newcomer Company will offer tours of our city to the newcomers, which I think is much needed here. We have so many wonderful things to show and offer!"

Marsha Dardenne

Regional Sales Director

Marsha Dardenne was raised in and has lived in Baton Rouge for most of her life, and this community is very dear to her heart. She has has been involved in many entrepreneurial endeavors over the years, but her most constant business interest has been in the housing industry - both as an interior decorator and as a Realtor. She has, for many years, owned her own businesses. She is a real "people person" who loves to network and communicate with other business owners/entrepreneurs for their mutual benefit and growth.

Delores Madrigal

Regional Sales Director

Delores moved to Louisiana 28 years ago from Kansas City and made Baton Rouge her home. The hospitality and unique flavor of the South offers a better fit for her lifestyle and personality. Delores has been self employed her entire career, primarily as an insurance and financial services consultant. Belonging to several professional and networking groups gives her the opportunity to give back to the community and link others together. Delores enjoys being a resource to help you grow your business.
