How We Can Help as a Community/Haiti Needs Us
Baton Rouge
Saturday, 16 January 2010 16:09

On Tuesday, January 12, 2010, Haiti was hit by a devasting earthquake.  This has been the largest disaster in the western hemisphere in 200 years.

The capital city of Haiti, Port-au-Prince, was destroyed and tremendous loss of life and property throughout the entire country.

As a community there are so many ways we can help.  Now until Tuesday, January 19th Healing Place Church is taking donations of Medical Supplies such as:

Asprin, Tylenol, Motrin, Vitamins, Benadryl, Neosporin, cough medications, ace bandages, alchol pads, bandaids, gauzes, gloves, tape, thermometers, etc.  They will have this delivered to Haiti shortly after Tuesday.  The drop off locations are 19202 Highland Road, 4829 Winbourne Avenue and 13423 Hwy. 431, St. Amant.  For more information go to www.healingplacechurch.org.

The American Red Cross is taking donations also - money is greatly needed there and can help tremendously.  As little as $25 can provide food for a day. If we all give a little we can help save a child, adult and help rebuild their country as soon as possible.

The Newcomer Company appreciates any donation of any kind and may we all keep them in our prayers!  Thank you.
